The key insight:
Scripture gives one test for a teacher, and it isn't platform, following, or how the message makes you feel. It's fruit — what the message produces over time, and whether it costs the teacher something or only the hearer. That's not new either. Micah named it in the judges, priests, and prophets who all took payment while still claiming God stood with them. Jeremiah named it in prophets who mistook their own imagination for a word from the LORD. Paul named it twice to the elders of Ephesus — warning that the danger wouldn't only come from outside, but could rise from among them. The remnant was never asked to spot a costume. It was asked to test the fruit.
